Following Citizens United, Republican private organizations solicit anonymous campaign money from billionaires and spend 7x Democrats nationwide. The economic downturn, which has put millions out of work and exacerbated the distance between rich and poor, has reduced the ability of non-rich people to contribute to political campaigns, but no one is talking about that.
